Good Friday

For many years there was no racing on Good Friday, but we now have a super card at Lingfield for the public holiday crowd: The apprentices take centre stage at 1.30 and MASTER SPEAKER can shout loudest for Adrian McGuinness as he seeks to land the hat-trick.

The Marathon at 2.00 can go to WATERSMEET who has done everything right of late and looks to be the pick of the Mark Johnston pair with Joe Fanning in the saddle.

The fillies and mares race at 2.30 gives the in-form William Haggas another chance to land a big prize with DIAGNOSTIC who hasn’t been quite at her best in two recent runs but retains a lot of ability.

The best race of the day is over a mile at 4.10 and the wonderful tale of GORING can add another chapter to the story for Eve Johnson Houghton.

Saturday’s Kempton card sees the racecourse appearance of highly touted PIVOTAL MAN who has been the subject of some inspired reports from those close to Roger Varian’s camp. He is expected to go well in the 2.00 whilst a short while later at 2.35 the Magnolia Stakes can go to ROBIN OF NAVAN who was all set for Classic tilts a couple of years ago and has the benefit of Jamie Spencer in the saddle as he attempts to return to winning ways which could be possible here.

In the evening card at Chelmsford, the nap is I’M WAITING who may need to be ridden patiently before swooping late under Fran Berry in the 7.15 sprint handicap.

Ffos Las, Southwell and Plumpton serve up the Sunday best on Easter day but we’re waiting until the bonanza on Easter Monday to get stuck into a decent betting contest. LUSH LIFE hasn’t been seen since impressing a while back in his one start but this Jamie Osborne colt can improve for that run to take the 2.40 at Redcar.

There’s a rich feast of Monday action from Huntingdon, Plumpton, Fakenham and Chepstow too but we’re settling at Market Rasen and, specifically, the 3.55 where the Skelton brothers can team up with the loveale PRETTY RECKLESS to put the seal on a sensational extended weekend of action which, let’s always remember, you can enjoy with us here at #RealityRaces
